Brief Bio
Joaquim B L Filipe is currently a Coordinator Professor of the School of Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (EST-Setúbal), Portugal. He got his Ph.D. at the School of Computing of the Staffordshire University, U.K, in 2000. His main areas of research involve Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent System theory and applications to different domains, with an emphasis on social issues in activity coordination, especially in organizational modeling and simulation, where he has been actively involved in several R&D projects, including national and international programs. He represented EST-Setúbal in several European projects. He has over 100 publications including papers in conferences and journals, edited books and conference proceedings. He started several conference series, sponsored by INSTICC and technically co-sponsored or in cooperation with major International Associations. Brief Bio
Kecheng Liu, Fellow of British Computer Society, is a full professor of Business Informatics. He is the Director of Informatics Research Centre, and Head of School of Business Informatics, Systems and Accounting within Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK. He has published over 200 papers in conferences and journals. His research interests span from organizational semiotics, information systems management and engineering, business processing modelling, alignment of business and IT strategies, co-design of business and IT systems, pervasive informatics and intelligent spaces for working and living. Fi fty PhD students graduated under his supervision. He is currently Visiting Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Renmin University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Beijing Jiaotong University, all in China. ... More >>

Brief Bio
Jorge Bernardino received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Coimbra in 2002. He is a Coordinator Professor at ISEC (Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra) of the Polytechnic of Coimbra, Portugal. His main research fields are big data, data warehousing, business intelligence, open source tools, and software engineering. He is actually President of Scientific Council of ISEC.
